• Autism Speaks

  • Autism Speaks Theatre Gala: A Christmas Carol
November 30, 2006  A gala evening to benefit Autism Speaks will be held at Westport Country Playhouse in Westport, Connecticut, on November 30, 2006. The evening will consist of a cocktail party, a VIP dinner and a performance of "A Christmas Carol". The dinner will be held in the Playhouse's rehearsal barn, lavishly transformed into a Victorian Christmas wonderland. Co-Chairs Suzanne and Bob Wright, Laurie Lister and Judd Burstein are being aided by a dedicated committee of volunteers. Honorary Chairs are Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman. Brian Williams and Bob Wright will serve as auctioneers during an extraordinary auction of one-of-a-kind items. This promises to be a festive, celebratory night, all net proceeds of which will go to Autism Speaks. Click here for a list of auction items (PDF). Click here for ticket information (PDF). For further information, please contact Liz Sabia at (914) 935-1462 or esabia@autismspeaks.org.
  • CIBC World Markets Miracle Day
December 6, 2006  Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce will be holding its annual CIBC World Markets Miracle Day – on that day, CIBC World Markets donates all trading commissions to children's charities designated by participating traders and fund managers. Since 2001, CIBC has donated over $125,000 to Autism Speaks, which has included a research partnership. You can help secure vital research funding by designating Autism Speaks as the recipient of the fees and commissions generated through your equity trading on Dec. 6. Encourage friends and colleagues to do the same. If you are interested in participating in Miracle Day 2006, or would like to recruit traders on Autism Speaks behalf, please contact Barry Haber, (888) 777-6227, ext. 42, or bhaber@autismspeaks.org.
